The city of Épinay-sur-Seine is located in north central France on the Seine River and is part of the Seine-Saint-Denis department. Épinay-sur-Seine has a population of approximately 50,000 inhabitants and is a commune in the northern suburbs of Paris. The city was established during the Middle Ages and is known and a centre for the chemical industry and film studios.

Épinay-sur-Seine is a very pleasant city and is located within 10 minutes of the gateways and main attractions of Paris which include the Eiffel Tower, Parc Disney, Parc Asterix, and avenues des Champs-Elysees, and much more. Visitors to Épinay-sur-Seine can also explore the beautiful landscapes and the nearby town of Enghuien Les Bains with its beautiful lake and distinctive casino that offers an array of gaming and slot machines as well as thermal baths and a race course.

Nearby is the church of Notre-Dame-des-Missions-du-cygne d’Enghien which is a historic monument that resembles a Chinese pagoda built in 1931 from the first wooden building made for the Colonial Exhibition in Paris. Nearby is the Eglise Saint-Medard which was constructed during the Middle Ages and then restored during the nineteenth century. In the centre of the city is the magnificent chateau of Épinay-sur-Seine, an old castle which serves as Épinay-sur-Seine city hall.

The city is represented in the paintings of Gustave Caillebotte and was a favored location for Marwuise d’Epinay, Denis Diderot, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau. The famous filmmaker Jean Renoir filmed many scenes on the banks of the Seine River and the city contains many film studios that date back to the beginning of the 20th century.

Épinay-sur-Seine also offers many beautiful parks along the Seine River which gets its name from the horses that pulled the boats near the river with tow ropes. Many of the parks that dot the river banks are rich with a wide variety of trees and hundreds of species of birds that inhabit the parks and surrounding meadows and ponds.
