Épinay-sur-Seine is located in north central France on the Seine River and is part of the Seine-Saint-Denis department.
Épinay-sur-Seine has a population of approximately 50,000 inhabitants and is a commune in the northern suburbs of
Paris. The city was established during the Middle Ages and is known and a centre for the chemical industry and film studios.

The city is represented in the paintings of Gustave Caillebotte and was a favored location for Marwuise d’Epinay, Denis Diderot, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau. The famous filmmaker Jean Renoir filmed many scenes on the banks of the Seine River and the city contains many film studios that date back to the beginning of the 20th century.
Épinay-sur-Seine also offers many beautiful parks along the Seine River which gets its name from the horses that pulled the boats near the river with tow ropes. Many of the parks that dot the river banks are rich with a wide variety of trees and hundreds of species of birds that inhabit the parks and surrounding meadows and ponds.
