The educational system in France is a highly centralized system which is organized into three distinct levels. When it comes to driving in France, the first most obvious thing is that you are required to drive on the right side of the road and are only allowed to overtake other vehicles on their left. For those visiting France from the United States, this will not be an issue at all. However, for those visiting France from the UK or even Japan, this driving style will be the exact opposite from which you are accustomed to.
All vehicles are required to carry with them a warning triangle which is covered with reflective tape. In the event of a break down, you are required to get your vehicle to the right hand curb and use the caution triangle to warn others that your car is not running.
