Aubagne
The town of Aubagne is located in southeastern France and is part of the Bouches-du-Rhône department. Aubagne is situated in an agricultural region which is centered on the production of market gardening as well as fruit and vegetable production. Aubagne is located approximately 10 miles from Marseille and has an interesting background of pottery which dates back to the 18th century. The production of pottery specializes in folkloric figurines and other figurines that pertain to religion.
Some of the main attractions in Aubagne include the Chateau des Creissauds which offers beautiful spaces for wedding receptions, banquets, and holiday dinners as well as serving as a sports and leisure location for a wide variety of activities.
For outdoor enthusiasts there is also the magnificent Garlaban Mountains which offer spectacular views of the Plan d’Aigle which is a massive rocky plateau that overlooks the valley of the Huveanne. The plateau was also the inspiration for the famous novelist and filmmaker Marcel Pagnol which has used this beautiful area for the backdrops of several films.

Open year round is the Parc Jean Moulin that features lovely walking paths, decorative ponds, and picnic sites surrounded by a beautiful array of greenery and shrubbery. Nearby is the Eglise Saint Sauveur which was built during the 11th century of ancient Roman architecture and is known for its magnificent clock tower and historical sites that surround the structure.
For those who take a profound interest in films there is the Aubagne International Film Festival which presents the works of young international film directors and is also a place of training for young directors, scriptwriters, composers, and sound designers.
